Monday - Friday

8.30 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.

12.30 – a.m. – 3.30 a.m.

The school day now begins at 8:30 a.m.  The children will go into class at 8:35 a.m.  It is no longer a staggered start.  The staggered start was introduced when schools reopened during Covid-19.  By having an early start to the day we have increased the learning time for all pupils.  The children now have an additional 25 minutes each day.   This is equivalent to 189 hours of learning.

This is what the children learn first thing in the morning:

SPAG – Can You Still Map

The Can You Stills should be linked to the most recent assessments and the gaps identified. Teachers will share the questions they got wrong, let them have another go/model. AFL week’s will need to be teacher led to eradicate misconceptions.
