Day 1 - Cacao Research
Chocolate is made from the seeds of a cacoa tree. Can you research to find out where cacoa trees grow. Can you find those places on a map? What climate and weather conditions do cocao trees need to grow? Write notes about the information you find out, ready to share with your teacher.
Day 2 - 'Chocolate Cake' by Michael Rosen
Watch Michael Rosen perform his poem, Chocolate Cake. See how he uses actions and makes his audience laugh. Can you perform the poem to somebody in your family using different actions and voices?
Day 3 - Chocolate Poster
Can you invent a new chocolate bar with a new or interesting flavour? Design a poster to advertise your new chocolate bar. Think about what colour the packaging will be and the yummiest adjectives you can use to describe your new bar! Your poster should be colourful and eye-catching and tell people what it will taste like.
Day 4 - Cadbury Chocolate Factory, Bournville
Cadbury chocolate factory is based in Bournville in Birmingham. Research the factory, and see if you can find out the answer to these questions. Who started the business? When was the factory opened? What was the first chocolate bar it produced? How many people work at the factory? Write a list of 10 interesting facts you find out.
