Week beginning 11th January

Create a Sound Sack for the letter 'p'.

Make up a bag of three or four objects that start with the sound 'p' e.g. pen, pot, paper, pencil, pebble, etc. Encourage your child to pull out each object and name it. 

When completing the P worksheet, please support your child to hold their chunky pencil correctly. See rhyme below to support correct pencil grip. Your child will also need lots of help to follow the direction of the arrows. Hold the pencil with your child. Support now will lay the foundations for correct letter formation. 

If your child is not ready to start writing letters then please do not worry. Just enjoy talking about the pictures and colouring them in together.
