Our wider curriculum unit this half term is, 'Whatever the weather.'
During this unit, the children will learn about weather. They will find out about the equator being hot because it gets the most direct sunshine, and the poles being cold because they get the least. They will investigate the changes in day length and how this links to weather condition and changes in the different seasons.
In Science lessons children will make observations about the weather and keep a weather log.
In Geography lessons children will learn about different weather conditions and seasons in different parts of the world, discuss difference in weather where children live compared to where a member of extended family may live.
