Our wider curriculum unit this half term is, 'Chocolate'.
By the end of this unit the children will have learnt about the origins of chocolate from Aztec times to the present day. They will conduct a detailed study of George Cadbury and Bournville and gain an understanding of the impact George Cadbury had on social reform.
In Geography lessons, children will compare where the Aztecs lived to where we live today and use key geographical vocabulary to make comparisons and begin to locate these places on a map. The children will also revise previous learning about the UK and its countries and capital cities.
