Our wider curriculum unit this half term is, 'Heroes and villains.'
During this unit children will learn about the key events and the timeline of WW2. Children will study different sources of propaganda and bias during the war and how opinions were used to influence, as well as discussing reliability of sources. Children will learn about life during WW2 for soldiers, civilians and children and learn about the Birmingham Blitz and rationing.
In Geography lessons, children will compare rural and urban areas (through the experiences of an evacuee) making links with what happened to the children of Sparkhill during WW2.

This half term Year 6 will be learning about decimals, percentages and algebra.
