Play Slime
We are aware that a small number of our pupils have been making their own toy slime at home. They have been using a household cleaner called Borax, which can cause irritation of the eyes, and blistering of the skin, particularly if used over a prolonged period. If you Google Borax it can give you more information on the detergent, and its effects and alternatives to making toy slime safely (see website- https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Slime-Without-Borax). Assemblies have been held in both Middle and Upper Phases to raise pupil awareness of the issue. We have also asked pupils not to bring any type of toy slime, Borax based or otherwise, in to school. If you have any further questions please come to the school office and ask to speak to a member of the school's Leadership Team.
